Key Specs and Features
Notta AI offers a range of features that enhance the transcription experience. These include:
Transcription
Notta offers two transcription modes: Monolingual and Bilingual. With bilingual transcription, you can have automated transcriptions in two languages of your choice. As of May 2025, Notta supports 58 languages for transcription.
Instant Record
It also features the Instant Record option, similar to Otter AI, that lets you record audio directly from your microphone. This is useful if you want to transcribe YouTube videos, live recordings, or meetings without needing to join with the bot.
Mobile + Web App
Notta AI is available across devices, allowing users to transcribe on the go. It is available on both iOS and Android phones.
Connectivity
There are 26 possible integrations with Notta AI. You can integrate Notta AI with the following apps.
- Calendar Apps ( Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, HubSpot)
- CRM (Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Freshsales)
- Video Meetings (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Webex)
- Communication (Slack, Webex)
- Automation (Zapier)
- Storage (Box, Dropbox, Autodesk Construction Cloud)

It lets you turn meeting highlights into short clips to share with your colleagues, saving time and focusing on the critical aspects of your meetings. You can easily share the notes with Notion or export them in various formats, such as Word Documents, TXT, PDFs, and SRT, making it easier to utilise the content.
AI Chat
The AI chat is fast, intuitive, and well-suited for brainstorming and finding hidden gems within the selected recordings. This enables you to locate key information or research tailored to your specific needs.
Screen Recording
Notta AI lets you screen record your PC and microphone audio, and automatically transcribes it into text. There are various recording options based on your preference, including Screen Only, Camera Only, and Screen & Camera. During the video recording, you have three buttons at the bottom of the screen. The stop, pause and cancel recording buttons are all located at the bottom of the screen.
Automation
You can set custom automations that perform specific actions based on well-defined triggers.

For example, once transcription is complete, you can ask it to generate AI notes using specific templates and have them automatically sent to your preferred software, such as Notion, ClickUp, Microsoft OneNote, Google Drive, Google Docs, or Slack. You can send multiple automations and rules based on your preferences.
Vocabulary Library
Do you know how certain words or acronyms are internal or specific to certain organisations and never get adequately pronounced? With Notta AI, you can combat these challenges by adding certain words to the vocabulary section. Notta learns these words and transcribes your recordings more accurately.

Chrome Extension
There is also a Chrome extension, which makes it easier to access the app.
Additional Features
- MindMap: A visual flowchart of meeting content, great for visual learners to grasp key points quickly.
- AI Noise Cancellation: Reduces background noise during recordings for clearer playback.
- Video Capture: Records video when workspace members use the online meeting feature.
What’s New in Notta AI (Since May 2025 Update)
Although this review was initially conducted in May 2025, Notta AI has since released several enhancements that further elevate its capabilities beyond what was tested live in our review. Below are the most important new additions:
• Semantic Segmentation (added January 2025):
Notta now uses semantic segmentation to intelligently detect topic shifts and conversational structure, resulting in more coherent AI summaries. This was not available during our test, but it improves readability in multi-topic meetings.
• Weekly Reports and Meeting Trend Analysis:
A new Weekly Reports module analyses multiple meetings together, identifying recurring action items, team activity patterns and common discussion themes. Particularly useful for team leads and product owners.
Available on Business plans and above.
• Expanded Automations and Folder Trigger Rules:
You can now define workflows such as:
“When a file is dropped into the Agent folder, auto-transcribe it and apply a summary template.”
This reduces manual upload time and is especially useful for multi-meeting teams.
• Improved Chrome Extension Support (late 2024 – Jan 2025):
The extension now allows direct transcription of YouTube videos, Slack Huddles and captured session recordings, without requiring additional upload steps.
• Multilingual Bilingual Transcription Refinement:
Notta has strengthened its post-processing for bilingual mode, improving accuracy when two languages appear in the same meeting. While multilingual support existed during our test (58 languages), translations are now refined using context-aware re-evaluation.
• Enterprise Compliance & Security Enhancements:
Notta began publicly listing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications, signalling a shift toward enterprise-grade positioning.
However, despite these certifications, privacy concerns remain around bot presence in meetings, as mentioned in the “What Other Users Are Saying” section.
• Hardware Expansion (under observation):
Some reviewers have referenced a ‘Notta Memo AI Voice Recorder’ device that syncs directly with Notta for offline capture.
This device is not officially confirmed at this time and was not part of our original review. Mention as an emerging possibility if relevant for field or event reporters.
Real-life Test/Case Study
During our Notta AI review, we conducted a test with non-native English speakers (participants from India, the Philippines, Thailand, Spain, and Croatia), which we also used in our other reviews. Notta AI still struggled with heavy accents.
Although the playback feature, which lets you play the transcript and hear the recording, is outstanding, it also allows you to make corrections. Given the number of corrections you will have to make, I am not sure if you are saving time doing that.
After the meeting is over, Notta has pre-selected templates, including Kick-off Meetings, Sprint Planning, General Team Meetings, and many more. These templates define how the summary will be generated.

The summary and action items generated are accurate and provide an overview of what was discussed in the meeting and what needs to be done, regardless of the transcriptions’ accuracy.
It also generates a MindMap, similar to a flowchart, that explains the meeting. This is a valuable feature for visual learners and those who consume visual data. Faster and easier to process
There is also an active AI noise cancellation feature, which claims to reduce background noise and echo when playing recordings or during live broadcasts.
Your AI Bot can also be renamed, though this isn’t particularly useful with Google Meet, since it doesn’t support custom names.
It also enables video capture when any member in your workspaces uses the record online meeting feature.

Notta AI Scoring
In the table below, you can see how we scored Notta AI.

Category Score (Max: 2)
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Features & Innovation (2) | Notta offers robust AI transcription, supporting 58+ languages, real-time translation, and integrations with Zoom, Teams, Slack, and Salesforce. Features such as AI summaries, speaker ID, and exports (MP3, TXT, PDF) are highly praised on X and G2, earning a full score. |
| Ease of Use (2) | The intuitive interface, Chrome extension, and mobile apps make transcription a seamless process. Reddit users note seamless note-taking, although minor glitches (e.g., upload lag) are reported on Trustpilot, which still justifies a full score. |
| Pricing and Value (1.5) | Paid plans ($9-$16.67/month) offer unlimited transcription and advanced features, but the free plan (limited to 120 minutes with a 3-minute limit) feels restrictive. Trustpilot highlights billing issues, such as unexpected charges and difficult-to-cancel subscriptions, which limit the score. |
| Use Cases and Versatility (1.5) | Notta suits journalists, students, and global teams with multilingual support. However, Reddit notes struggles with accents or jargon, as well as connectivity issues (Trustpilot), which reduce its versatility compared to Otter.ai, resulting in a score of 1.5. |
| Real World Performance 1.5 | Accuracy is high (up to 98%) in clear audio, according to G2, but falters with noise or accents (e.g., “plane” vs “plan,” as noted by X). Glitches and slow support (72-hour response, Trustpilot) hinder reliability, resulting in a 1.5 score. |
| Total Score 8.5/10 |
✅ Recommended (8.5/10)
