Server Logs and Site Analytics
Every visit to FanalMag.com generates server log entries, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps.
We use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Matomo) to produce aggregate reports that help us improve content and fix technical issues.
We do not identify individual users by name within these analytics.

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, maintain your logged-in session, and measure site performance.
Advertising-related cookies may be set by our ad partners (see Section 2C). You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
However, disabling cookies may impair certain site features such as persistent login and personalised content.

C. Third-Party Data

Social Login Providers
Where available, you may log in using your Google, Facebook, or Twitter account. When you do so, those providers share limited profile data, typically your name and email address,
solely for the purpose of creating or authenticating your FanalMag account. Please review each provider’s own privacy policy for details on what they collect.

Advertising Networks
To fund our operations and fairly compensate our contributors, we display advertisements. Our advertising partners may independently collect data about your visit, such as pages viewed,
approximate location, device type, and browser, to serve interest-based ads. We do not control what our ad partners collect or how they process it.
Please refer to each ad network’s privacy policy for full details.

  3. To analyse usage trends and content performance, and to conduct A/B testing of new features.
  4. To process purchases and subscriptions, and to send order confirmations where applicable.
  5. To deliver interest-based advertising through our ad partners if you have not opted out.
  6. To investigate and address technical issues, policy violations, and security incidents.
  7. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and valid legal processes.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human review.

4. How We Share Your Information

Service Providers
We engage carefully selected third-party vendors to help us operate FanalMag.com. Each vendor receives only the data necessary to perform its function:

  1. Email service providers (e.g., Mailchimp, SendGrid) receive your email address and name to deliver newsletters and transactional messages on our behalf.
  2. Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) handle purchase transactions. We never receive or store your full payment card details; we only receive confirmation of a successful transaction.
  3. Hosting and infrastructure providers store site files and databases under contractual data protection obligations.

Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process (such as a court order or subpoena).
We will attempt to notify affected users of such requests unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
We may also share information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or to prevent serious harm.

Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or other corporate restructuring, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
We will notify registered users by email and post a prominent notice on our homepage at least 30 days before any such transfer takes effect.

Aggregate and Anonymised Data
We may share aggregated, de-identified statistics (for example, “70% of our readers are located in sub-Saharan Africa”) with partners, advertisers, or the public.
This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

5. Your Choices and Controls

Accessing and Updating Your Information
You may log in at any time to review and update your profile details, change your email address or password, and adjust your notification preferences.
For additional assistance, contact us at privacy@fanalmag.com.

Opting Out of Marketing Communications
Every promotional email we send includes a clearly labelled Unsubscribe link. Clicking it will promptly remove you from all marketing lists.
Please note that you will continue to receive service-related emails, such as password resets and security alerts, as these are necessary for the operation of your account.

Cookie Preferences
You can manage, block, or delete cookies through your browser’s settings. Turning off certain cookies may affect site functionality.
For targeted advertising opt-outs, please visit the relevant ad network’s opt-out page or use industry tools such as the NAI opt-out at
optout.networkadvertising.org.

Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a Do Not Track (DNT) signal. Because there is no universally agreed standard for how websites must respond to DNT,
we do not alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals. You can limit data collection through the cookie and opt-out controls described above.

We will also report to relevant supervisory authorities where required by law.

7. Children and Minors

FanalMag.com is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16.
If we inadvertently collect data from a child under 16 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that data promptly.

Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to FanalMag.com are encouraged to contact us at

our contractors, or our service providers operate (for example, hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing).

Where international transfers apply, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, in line with applicable data protection laws.
Depending on your location and the transfer route, these safeguards may include:

  1. Data processing agreements with service providers that limit how data is used and require security controls.

  3. Transfers to countries recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, where applicable.
  4. Practical security measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege permissions.
